This article presents reflections on the adaptations that are occurring in psychoanalytic treatment, based on the restrictions imposed on face-toface care by the pandemic scenario of covid-19. It seeks to discuss the rapid transition from the analysis of the consulting rooms to the virtual and online scenario, identifying the possibilities of maintaining and adapting the elements that make up the analytical situation. In order to give theoretical support to this analysis, Freud was used and deepened in Laplanche’s ideas, especially in his concepts about the psychoanalytic vat or tub. Current authors have provided subsidies for thinking about online care through psychoanalysis.
